Embodied AI

Engineering undergraduate

Intro

I am a final-year undergraduate student in the Department of Automation at the College of Computer and Information Science, Southwest University. And now I'm also a visiting student in Westlake University, advised by Prof. Donglin Wang. In the past two years, I have served as a research assistant in the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Laboratory, working on legal judgment documents advised by Professor Li Li. Later, under the guidance of Associate Professor Le Yin, I worked on the electronic design of autonomous vehicles and related tasks involving ROS and SLAM in the Electronic Design Innovation Laboratory.

My research interests are primarily focused on Embodied Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. My research interests focus on how to achieve broad generalization capabilities for open-world manipulation tasks, the application of Vision-Language-Action models to robots, and inference acceleration.

In my spare time, I have also gradually been paying attention to the application of AI in the medical field. Although this is not my primary research focus, from my personal experience, I hope that AI can play a crucial role in this area. I believe that technology should serve the people, which is the expectation that drives me—just as it has in my choice to research embodied intelligence.

    Robotics

I have some experience in designing and implementing robotic systems. Here are some of the robotic systems I have helped develop:

    • ROS-based Intelligent autonomous car with SLAM mapping function: I designed and implemented an intelligent autonomous vehicle system based on ROS that can map specific areas and perform data collection.
    • Multi-sensor fusion vehicle system: Using qml, implemented the dashboard interface for the in-vehicle system, with relevant data intelligently collected through various sensors and displayed in real-time.
    • Composite unmanned vehicle control board (vehicle) and voice control relay control board (voice): Developed and designed PCB control boards using LCEDA , the former for driving our unmanned vehicle system, and the latter for controlling some functions of the intelligent vehicle system.

    • Robot verification: Ensuring the accuracy of movements under the digital twin environment, debugging planar motions such as straight-line and rotational movements, and performing maintenance and upgrades on the robot.
    • Manufacture and repair robots: I have extensive practical experience in manufacturing and repairing various robots. In the process, we have assembled different types of robots, controllers, and sensors based on actual needs. We have also addressed some dangerous situations encountered, including robots losing control, battery fires, and motor burnouts.

    • 2022-2023 Southwest University First-Class Scholarship (Top 3%)
    • 2021-2022 Southwest University Second-Class Scholarship (Top 8%)

    Contribution

  • Semi-automatic data annotation and processing: Utilized a semi-automatic data annotation tool developed in the laboratory to annotate judicial documents, constructing a Chinese legal judgment document dataset of approximately ten thousand entries, providing data support for subsequent extraction of document-level judgment documents.
